An unusually decorated A symmetrical oval mirror, carved in deep relief with naturalistic detail throughout.
The giltwood frame is formed of entwined oak branches, carved with leaves and acorns in the round.
At the crest, a pair of doves nest among the foliage, while at the base a small woodland animal peeks from the undergrowth.
A distinctive, yet whimsical example of English naturalistic design from the mid-19th century.
