AN ITALIAN BRONZE STATUE OF THE DRUNKEN BACCHUS, PROBABLY NAPLES, LATE 19TH CENTURY.
A finely cast 3/4 life size statue of Bacchus holding a loft a bowl in one hand and grapes in the other, beside him is a small faun.
Probably cast in Naples in the late 19th century, it has stood in the gardens of a private collection in the uk for the last 40 years and has gathered a wonderful, naturally patinated verdigris patination.
